On Good, Better, Best… the Great Leader’s Unending Journey to Greatness

Good, better, best – beautiful stepping stones in the great leader’s continuing growth and development. Each step is both a beginning and ending point, a movement from the ‘as is’ to the ‘what can be’. The ‘best’, itself, is not an ending point. It, too, is a stepping stone to something more. Maya Angelou wrote: “Do the best you can until you know better. Then, when you know better, do better.” So the cycle begins again from good, to better to best, an unending path of joyous learning in achieving your life’s purpose and meaning, your best self, your greatness.

John Maxwell said: “Don’t rest on your best. Your best today sets you up for success tomorrow.” Oprah Winfrey adds: “Doing the best at this moment puts you in a better place for the next moment.” May you fill each day with intentional moments of continued growth and learning knowing that there is always something more, something better, something so much more. Your joys, dreams and wonders of tomorrow are in your hands today. Take that magnificent step of doing “the best you can until you know better.” Your best is yet to come… and it will because you choose it to be so.

Have a beautiful day and a magnificent week!!!
