As you contemplate your life’s purpose and meaning, consider the words of Mark Twain who said: “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” Fyodor Dostoyevsky wrote, “The mystery of human existence lies not in just staying alive, but in finding something to live for.” Pablo Picassosaid: “The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” George Bernard Shaw wrote: “Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”
Your purpose and meaning is found in your discovery of the authentic and real you. It is your realization of your magnificent gifts and the value they bring to the world and the people whom you touch and serve. It is your ‘why’ of your life’s living. Bishop T. D. Jakes suggests a path to its discovery, “If you can’t figure out your purpose, figure out your passion. For your passion will lead you right into your purpose.” It is that for which your mind and heart ache, that which sets your soul on fire. Osho tells us, “It is a poetry to be composed. It is a song to be sung. It is a dance to be danced.”
Mark Twain wrote, “Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do, than the things that you did do.” May you live your purpose and meaning every moment. With new eyes, may you push their perceived limits and explore and live dreams undreamed. May you make your life’s ‘why’ a magnificent and glorious ‘why not’. Your best is yet to come!
Have a beautiful day and a magnificent and wondrous week!!!
Excellent summary of passion and purpose and their inter-relationship. What if someone chooses to lead by simply fooling his/her
followers? What if any more meaningful purpose issbsent and simply done for the sake power for the sake of power? What is the nature of being human consist of ability to be deceived? What if we suspend trust in order not to be deceived? One way to erode this reality is to make citizens everyone aware of the power of media. As well as association with profit. Consider the malignancy of Fox News.
