On the Heart and Rational Mind

Helen Keller wrote of the heart’s magic saying, “The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt with the heart.” The heart holds the emotions and joys of who we are. It has a spiritual self-knowledge of our values, passion for life, grit, commitment, focus and vision. Its emotional make-up creates more special and sensitive connections which inspire and motivate us to push our boundaries and limits to heights undreamed. The heart is the beautiful complement and gift to the rational mind.

Albert Einstein said, “The intuitive mind is a sacred gift, and the rational mind is a faithful servant.” May we hold an intentional balance in our use of the sacred gift of the intuitive mind and the faithful servant rational mind. Steve Jobs counsels us saying, “Whatever you do, you must never let the voice in your head control the brain in your heart.”

May we remember that in all that we do to passionately give the fullness of the power and strength of our heart and mind, for in that fullness we will achieve extraordinary successes and, most importantly, our life’s purpose and meaning.

Have a beautiful day and a magnificent week!!!
