On the Gift of Vision

In leadership as in life, vision is the cornerstone of inspiration and motivation. It provides purpose and meaning in our pursuit of something greater in life. It ignites passion which fuels the relentless pursuit of goals that might otherwise seem insurmountable. It inspires a mindset to see obstacles not as roadblocks but as opportunities for growth and transformation. It provides a North Star, a guiding light, that illuminates our path forward giving us the ability to see the world not just ‘as is,’ but ‘what can be’.

A vision is not a solitary endeavor. It is a shared dream, a binding force, that unites teams, organizations, family and communities. Helen Keller wrote, “Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much.” Vision is the catalyst that inspires you and others to transform the intangible into the tangible to create a future that surpasses your wildest dreams.

On vision, Keller counsels, “The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.” Her words implore us to recognize the profound difference between mere existence and a life illuminated by purpose. They provide a powerful call to action. A leader without vision is like a ship without a destination. May you be inspired by Martin Luther King Jr’s extraordinary words, “I have a dream.” May your vision, your dream, inspire you and those you serve to create new paths on which new worlds will be created. Dare to dream! Dare to envision the extraordinary and lead with purpose. The world needs you. For you, like each of us, have eyes that can see worlds that only you can see. May you share your vision of what can be. Your best is yet to come. It is there waiting to be found.

Have a beautiful day and a magnificent week!!!
